Maureen FitzSimons's achievements as a young performer in America (which we call Maureen O'Hara today) would certainly put her in the child-prodigy class. This was a natural trait to a person born in Ireland. by gifted parents as well as a loving and supportive family. Maureen was welcomed into this cherished sanctuary located in Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th, 1920. She was the daughter of Marguerita Lililburn FitzSimons a skilled contralto. Charles FitzSimons ran a Dublin company, and also had shares in the Irish soccer team Shamrock Rovers. Maureen FitzSimons was the child of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons complete this wonderful family. Maureen loved playing rough sports as a kid and excelled in sports. This interest was combined with a natural talent for performance. As a result, she won the majority of the Feis Awards for acting and dramatic performances in her country of birth. At the age of 14, she was accepted to the highly acclaimed Abbey Theater and pursued her goal of performing in classical theatre along with operatic music.
